Well she's saved, trailered her home yesterday:happy1:

Got a load of bodywork to do on her, going to be a long term project for next winter...Have to sort out my garage first.

Save posting a load of photos, thought I'd link to Triple-M for those who are interested:

I see she's already aquired a moto-build sticker in the back window

Is there a Maestro Turbo that hasn't been there? :D

Looks good though, its nice to know these cars are being well kept by true enthusiasts :thumbs2:

Just took a proper read of that thread - how can you sit on a car like this for a whole year before starting work? :D

Time & money my friend - wanna do it all myself this time, number 9 cost me a fortune to restore...

There's plenty more out htere that are just sitting in a field, and I wonder sometimes if some of them will ever get restored?

Its strange though... I'd never thought I would hear the expression 'restored' used on a Maestro :)

But I can what ya mean about the dosh and wanting to do it yourself. The flip side for that I suppose is having the correct tools to do the job.

I have one with GK Autoworks (#261) for a full restoration and 2 others in storage (#199 and #477)
To restore one is not easiest as the rust bug does like a good maestro to nibble on ;)
I will be tackling #199 once I have finished my Montego Turbo as this is in good original condition.. Just leaves me with a very sad and sorry #477 and the decision of what to do with it  Will keep it hidden undercover and decide next year when i get a few other projects finished :D

I think Performance Car or Fast Lane Magazine used your number 3 in their road test. I will try and dig it out, it may take me some time...:rolleye:
