Saw this a few weeks back but didn't bother to post here as it's Russian. Not exactly a pretty looking beast is it.

Looks very 'Lax Power'. I hope that their engine is better than Lada engines of old. Agricultural at best.

Could they be any worse than the Lexus (or should I say Lexi??)

Good luck to them, good to see a manufacturer getting involved in motor sport, most manufacturer's are getting out of motor sport.

The thing is....IF Lada put enough cash into the right development teams, then they could seriously kick some AR53 - just remember, the MGZS is getting long in the tooth but is still competitive against WTCC and BTCC (and possibly ETCC) so not much has advanced. I'd wet myself laughing if they got a maiden win..........:D

Is the rear spoiler heated?

I recon that"s a photoshopped Escort/orion.:banghead:
The front wheels look so close to the arch that I would be supprised if they turn at all.

Andy that is no Photoshop! That is Lada's 4door saloon they market in their home town - minus all the additional bodywork!

Thats how much the Russians have progressed in the motoring world! But I hope they can show up other more funded/higher profile teams :)

And even more to the point... why are they willing to sponsor LADA and not WSR?

Any extra cars on the grid is a good thing IMHO. Will give the Lexii someone to play with.

Looks remarkaby similar to the Lada WRC project car that also never saw the light of day!

Lada are trying to entice outside backing and seem to be using motorsport "potential entries" as a lure but so far they have drawn any interest. Lada will go under and VW/FIAT/Renault will introduce an assembly plant to fill the void.

I thought Lada are looking at racing in a Super 2000 rally set up to rival WRC? Aren't Fiat looking at doing it too with McRae behind the wheel?
