I came across these pictures...can anybody enlighten me as to whether it actually exists or is it just a prototype/drawing ?

The lips on the front are even crazier than on the BRM :eek:

They certainly do exist, i've had the pleasure of watching them racing live at the Le Mans 24 hour race. They sound glorious ! It's called the DB-R9 and their's also another version that looks even wilder, the DB-RS9 !

hard to tell from the pictures but whats going on with the rear end? is it loads of exhausts or a fin at the bottom ?

Probably a diffuser to keep it on the ground.

One of the members on X*F works on them. If I can get hold of him at the next MGCC meeting I'll remind him about over here.

If I wanted a classy high sport car I'd probably go for an Astor Martin...always loved them....only money keeps away from them :cry:

They were ok, didn't sound half as nice as the Corvette's though. Best sounding car at Le Mans in recent history IMO. :car2:

Misfit, know what you mean about the Corvettes , thunderous noise - reverberates throughout the circuit, especially the pit straight ! It's a noise that's so loud and distinctive that you can nearly work out where about's it is on the 8 mile + circuit at any given time !

Seen them at Le Mans and at Silverstone for the British GT. great car. There also a blue Russian one in one endurance series witch looks good.

Apparently the aston's that were at le mans had three ligths on the side of the cars that were to be used to inicate whether or not they were in 1st,2nd,or 3rd position- all 3 light's illuminted meant that the aston's were leading!

I don't remember seeing any lights on the side of the Astons at Le Mans this year ! And they were leading there class at one point.

Oh, that's a 575 Gasters ! :lol:

The three lights are only used in the ALMS races.

There is 1 for 1st place etc.

Have a look at this picture I took at Sebring.

also on the subject of the best sounding cars at Le Mans what about the Panoz?

Well guys the bit at the back is a diffuser & the exhausts are side exit just below the doors
