From BBC website (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/4541840.stm):
The German Touring Car Championship (DTM) is to return to Britain in 2006 after a two-year absence.
The DTM has avoided Britain since 2003, when small crowds scuppered Donington Park's round of the series.
But Brands Hatch in Kent will host its return on 2 July, giving UK fans a chance to see Britain's defending champion Gary Paffett in action.
The DTM also features former F1 title holder Mika Hakkinen, who has agreed to stay on at Mercedes for next season.
Ex-Formula One driver Jonathan Palmer, whose MotorSport Vision company runs Brands Hatch, said: "There is no doubt it will be one the biggest events of our year."
The return of the DTM represents a anther coup for Palmer and Brands Hatch, which recently hosted the inaugural A1 Grand Prix race to great acclaim.
The circuit has poached Britain's World Touring Car Championship race from Silverstone. It takes place on May 21.
Good news for Brands :thumbs2:
