I would hazard a guess that most Star Wars fans would know about this:

... but for all the padawans out there, a number of extemely devoted SW fans have spent way too much time making their own movies. Some are serious, some are very funny, some have very well produced and are impressive pieces of work for homebrew stuff.

Take a look.

How about building your very own lightsaber?
Check out http://www.jedi-academy.com/lightsabermain.html detailed instructions on how to build replica's from the films. You have to add your own sound effects though!

Of course, I heard even Hayden Christensen (Anakin) made the wooshing noises during the filming of EpII

Some of the film makers on that link either have WAY too much time on thier hands or should be doing something similar profesionally.

And for those of you with a few quid to spare...........

THE Jedi knight cloak worn by Sir Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars is being sold at auction, with a reserve price of £50,000.

Costume firm Angels, based in North London, feared it was lost - but had been unwittingly hiring it out as fancy dress.
