I can confirm today that Jason Hughes will be racing at every round of the BTCC in 2006.
He'll be driving under the Kartworld banner once again, in the MGZS chassis that he bought form WSR at the start of the 2004 season, but with completely up-to-date aerodynamic kit.
Jason's car will be number 28, and is a completely different colour scheme to the last two years. You'll be impressed when you see it, I can assure you of that!!
Kartworld are in possession of a number of Judd 4-cylinder engines, as well as the original V6 engines. Unfortunately, they are struggling to get hold of some parts (or more accurately the shaft) that mates the 4-pot to the gearbox, and consequently it is possible that the car will run a freshly rebuilt (by Judd) V6 for the season opener at Brands Hatch. This doesn't cause any concern for the team, who are confident that the V6 is well suited to the Indy circuit at Brands, which was proven last year in race 3.
A leaner, meaner Jason is well prepared, and looking forward to the 2006 season. He is hoping for the continued support of the MG fans throughout the year.
