I can confirm today that Jason Hughes will be racing at every round of the BTCC in 2006.

He'll be driving under the Kartworld banner once again, in the MGZS chassis that he bought form WSR at the start of the 2004 season, but with completely up-to-date aerodynamic kit.

Jason's car will be number 28, and is a completely different colour scheme to the last two years. You'll be impressed when you see it, I can assure you of that!!

Kartworld are in possession of a number of Judd 4-cylinder engines, as well as the original V6 engines. Unfortunately, they are struggling to get hold of some parts (or more accurately the shaft) that mates the 4-pot to the gearbox, and consequently it is possible that the car will run a freshly rebuilt (by Judd) V6 for the season opener at Brands Hatch. This doesn't cause any concern for the team, who are confident that the V6 is well suited to the Indy circuit at Brands, which was proven last year in race 3.

A leaner, meaner Jason is well prepared, and looking forward to the 2006 season. He is hoping for the continued support of the MG fans throughout the year.

He was certainly showing some good form at Brands last year on the GP circuit, lets hope this translates well :thumbs1:

Well done Paul - good bit of info well recieved!!
Great to see Jason out again in the ZS - I think everyone was getting a little worried he wouldnt compete for some reason.

Zamo - yes, his car is matt black, which looks cool, but it is the stickers that they are currently working on that will make it really stand out.

Dave - Jason is hoping to make it to the media day, but it all depends on whether or not the car is ready in time. They really want to go with the 4-pot from the start, but they are still waiting for the parts. If they have to be ready for next week, it will mean putting the V6 in, and then it's too much work to take that out, change all the fittings etc and put the 4-pot in before the 1st race.
