We must organise a Brit-car race meet Keith, after all - it's only right given the forum name !

Defo Mat was thinking at least doing a Snetterton race and the 24hr @ Sliverstone.

This 24 hour race - do you get the opportunity to fully explore the track side or is it off limits from the regular standing points ?

Not 100% sure but when i went to watch the ALMS round you could wander anywhere you liked.

Crikey, September seems so far away ! When's the next round that would be good for a forum meet ? :)
Definately need a forum meet at one of these, maybe during one of the bigger gaps between BTCC races.

the 24 hour race would be great for a 'Camp Brit-Car'
Good luck to the girls ( and the boys too ;)
I agree - forum attendence is a must!
Anyone brave enough to volunteer to co-ordinate such an event? :D

Well the next event is the one at Snetterton, that takes place from Friday 12th of May (practice day), Saturday 13th (practice and races) and Sunday 14th (races) I would like to get some timetable info on this event, start times, individual race times etc. Then and only then i might voulenteer to coordinate the meet up time and place.
Well, there can't be many as qualified as you to do it ;)

It doesn't take a genious though does it !
Theres a lot to be said for someone willing to put in the time and effort, even if its not a huge mental or physical challenge...

Went to the 24 hour race at Silverstone last year. Can't think of anywhere to have Camp Brit-car. They wouldn't let me bring my car into the track so it would have to be outside.
There is a campsite within walking distance. We stayed there last year for the BTCC. It is on a golf course and a fair stretch of the legs to get to. Will see if I can find details and post them.

Can't seem to find the results for the first Brit-car.
Did hear that Fiona Leggate managed to get her MG ZR up to second at one time. Her co driver then managed to lose the advantage. Think she needs Reidy or Owy back. Can't believe how much she has come on since I saw her partnering Anthony at Brands in her early days of Brit-car. I thought she coped well when they shoehorned a 2ltr Judd under the bonnet and they very nearly took overall honours. Not bad for a class 3/4 car.
Thought she always looked better in MG overalls. If she can get a 1600cc MG ZR to challenge the mighty B*Ws then how good would it be to challenge the Hondas in a Bio-ethenol MG ZS. Think of the publicity and the finger to all those pundits that wrote off the ZS as old fashioned. Think Team RAC may have missed a trick here. If you think of last year how many column inches she got just for being a girl in a bio car.
Thinking of starting a "Get Fiona in a bigger MG campaign" as she is always ready to talk to us and her team seem to give me funny looks standing around her garage in MG gear.
