VX were looking at racing the Vectra in 2004 to replace the old Astra Coupe. Instead they decided to run the old car for 2004 (during which the Sports Hatch came out in the showrooms) and then moved to the Astra replacement in 2005. This car as per your photo is of the one (or a show version) that was tested in 2004 by VX/Triple 8 racing.

The Vectra IMHO should have been chosen as the saloon style of car is more apropriate to the series!

I'd agree with that Rob... All these hatchback touring cars just don't look right imo.
