Next Saturday is the day Cadwell Park plays host to the MG Car Club Championship races ! It's a full day of everything that is MG so there's no excuses not to go ! Entry is a mere £10 in advance or £12 on the gate for a full days action. Cadwell has to be the best pure racing circuit in the country and presents a great photo opportunity for all you budding photographers as there are barely any fences there !!!
The line up includes BCV8 Championship, Metro Challenge, Sports and Saloon championship and of course the Xpower trophy which is ZR's and TF's slugging it out ! Children under 12 go free. So if everyone here can fork out £26 for 3 ZS's on track then there is no excuse to not visit Cadwell for dozens of MG's on track as lets face it , you are guaranteed and MG will win every race ! :D Hope to see many familiar faces there !

would love to go to this - but I am tied up all weekend with trips out, football, mondello, Imola, work and Take That.
(last one - only doing taxi runs to Newcastle, not actually going to the gig! - thankfully!)
Hopefully I'll be there.....................the return of Tangoman!!!
Still a bit peeved not to be behind the wheel, but that WILL happen.

If anyone is going and can get there for around 7:45, they can have my spare ticket (unless they can get it another way).

Yep, i have to say that today was amongst the very best racing i have ever seen, certainly better than any BTCC meet i can remember going to ! The Dreadnought ZT520 V8 was simply stunning in every way but who would have predicted that Morrisons 280bhp JUDD ZR would have beaten it in that penultimate race ?! That was fantastic action and seeing that barmy ZT going sideways up the mountain was a real treat. Other highlights included the 400bhp 5.0 ltr MGB, the buzzing bike engined Ginnetas, the ZR race with Malcolm Gammons in paticular putting up a great fight for 2nd place but ultimatley finishing 3rd and the Metro v Mini battle in the days 1st race.
£12.00 for all that yet no one from here went except for 3 of us (JLD marshalling, Me and RDJ-Pics). I really need to see more of these races, it's pure entertainment at it's best and the club level drivers battle just as hard as the pro's. Talking of the pro's , Rob Huff was driving today and won his class - good to see he still does it even if it's just as his hobby !
Picture below is of the Dreadnought ZT blasting out of the infamous Gooseneck !
Sounds like a good day out. Must try to get along to one later in the year.

Gald you had a good day, did you see a pair of white MG F/TF's going round and the one had 'Think' or something similar on the doors as i saw these two on trailers going North on the M11 on Friday morning.
Thos e would be the MG TFs that Creative Media run (they bought the old 'arrive and drive' cars IIRC).
Ironically, most people who see them assume it says 'think' on the side. It actually says 'thnk' (with no letter 'i'), but a dot above the space between the 'h' and the 'n' fools the brain into thinking that there is a letter 'i'.

The TF's are owned by a guy called Robert Day - he owns five of them (& a yellow lamborghini) & usually has a 40ft truck to take them in. They are run by John close motorsport from colchester.
