Seem to be having really bad trobles with the car adjusting to road camber.....sometimes feels like i'm been thrown all over the place and have to really fight to keep her on the road. Also sometimes feels like she's pulling, although not consistently, or to one particulatr side.
Anyone got any ideas what it might be??
The appauling state of the roads in this country?

I thought that, but i had a wee bump not long back and its been worse since then. Had the car checked by 2 different mechanics who haven't picked up on anything, but theres deffo something wrong

Sounds like you need a laser 4 wheel alignment done to make sure everything is running straight and true.

Sounds like something is defo oiut of true... worth paying a visit to a tyre bay to get alignment etc. checked

Had that done, aswell as new tyres :(

Have you changed tyres - are they unidirectional? have found that some unidirectionals seem to throw you all over the place on white lines etc.

Have you had the suspension changed, car lowered etc, and does the pulling happen at constant speed or under braking, acceleration?
Do you have the results of the 4 wheel alignment, we could check it againest what we would expect.

Sadly i don't have the results. Perhaps i should take it somewhere else and have it done again.
I have directional tyres (Yoko A539s) and yes, she's lowered 35mm. Has been like that for a couple of years now, and problem has only been evident since my prang!!
Happens on acceleration, constant speed but more so under braking. White lines are a huge problem on dual carriage ways and can real flick the steering out.
Sounds like an alignment problem to me, is the steering wheel straight?
Dare I ask what kind of 'bump' it was?

No, but its never been straight, not even from new.
Hit into a kerb at about 10mph in ice. Didn't look that bad but i had the whole near side corner replaced, suspension, wheel, hub etc
A trip down to Leda to get it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing could be in order. It's possible things are out of line since the reapirs that your average tyre fitters simply don't have the kit or the ability to measure.

With full 4 wheel alignment equipment we can tell if the chasis is at all twisted or if anything is out with the alignment. I just had a chat with our Technical expert here and his reaction is the same, its the alignment. If you can't bring it into us make sure you go somewhere where they have the full kit and will give you the print outs at the end, at the very least this will eliminate any alignment problem. If the wheels are out of line then you can get different grip levels as you go over bumps, which will then push the car in either direction, the problem will be worse if the car is lowered which all fits the symptoms you are describing.

yellow, reckon andy has hit nail on head, is it a jig they put the car on to check how 'straight' it is?? or is that just to straighten it

Whilst I can appreciate that there may be more to the incident than was first discussed, someone who posts up with the sole intention of winding up another forum user is a 'troll' and I'm afraid there is no room for trolls on this forum...

I'm not a troll - I have been sitting on the sidelines and reading the forum since it started.
What angers me is when people blatantly lie on the forums - it isn't necessary at all.

This thread is helping me out a bit too. I have pretty much all the symptoms Vic has with the added feeling that the car wants to steer itself at low speeds and massive tyre wear on the inside edge.
Not even been pranged just driving on poor roads. Looks like I need to get the alignment checked too. Shame Leda is soooo far away.
