I have a friend who is going to look at an MGA coupe. Is there anything he needs to look for or is there anyone he can talk to before he buys to get advice.

Don't forget these are a separate chassis construction. The FHC is worth less than the Roadster, and the best to go for would be with the 1600cc B series although the MGB 1800 engine can be fitted for more sparkle. Usual rot spots apply but they are probably the prettiest MGs ever IMHO although the driving position is not the best compared to the B.

Thanks for the info. I have passed on the MGOC details to him. The guy who owns the car is away for a couple of weeks so we are just gathering info before he goes to see it.
