I've just insured our MGF with Peter Best Insurance for less than £150 fully comp. Thats about £200 less than the renewal from our previous insurers.

The catch, well the car qualifies for classic policies now as it's over 10 years old so we are limited for 3000 miles per year which shouldnt be a problem as it does much less than that anyway and it has to be kept in a garage whcih again it was anyway. So the catches aren't really catches are far as we are concerned.

3000 miles, that's about half a terms travelling to school for me.

Who's your ZS insured with Tony, about that time again and struggling to find a cheap quote with the exhausts!

That's a good price Tony.

Both of our MG's and now the LDV are insured through A Plan. We've got all three policies for about the price that most insurers wanted for the ZS alone.

Try http://www.quinn-direct.co.uk/ - Cheapest by miles for me and they appear to be very mod's friendly :)

Hmmm sounds like an option for Beaker. He does less than 3000 miles a year. Does the car have to be garaged every night? Beaker lives in the garage a lot of the time, but not every night as I don't put him away when I am on late shift & get home at 10:30pm.

There is an option for parking on the driveway, as long as it's not parked on the road. There's a quick quote on the Peter Best website but they beat that price when I called to check a few things. Just remember to mention brit-cars.com if you call.

Maybe if women weren't dopey enough to leave their handbags on show in their cars in the 1st place then you would get even cheaper insurance ! Common sence - innit ?!

It amazes me that they can have 'Sheila's Wheels', but imagine the outcry from feminists screaming discrimination if you started Bruce's Wheels !

Off topic i know, but it's a similar situation with the MOBO awards - Music Of Black Origin. Imagine the outcry if we had a Whites music awards ceremony, the race card would be called out globaly. The worst thing you can be in the world is a white middle aged man.

I dont think my insurance is too far off from renewal now.. I must make sure that I give Peter Best a call. They've served brit-cars.com well the least I can do is see if I can give a little back to them!

I've contacted them this week about renewing our arrangements so any contact with them mentioning the forum would be good.
