As well as the raffle this year, we'll be auctioning a few items that have been donated as it's not practical to try and post them to winners if they are not at the event to collect prizes. This will hopefully raise more money for Make-A-Wish than the raffle alone.
The lots we have so far are as follows...
1. The wheel from Tom Onslow-Cole's BMW damaged during race one at Rockingham, signed by Tom and blagged after the race by M-A-W staff.
2. The directors of RBS Retail have pledged to provide a pair of tickets to a Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club home game of the winners choice (subject to availability). The tickets will need to be claimed from RBS Retail directly, contact details will be supplied and RBS notified of the winners name.
3. A Peter Storm water-proof jacket, with hood concealed in the collar and mesh lining, size medium, colour blue.
4. A Peter Storm water-proof jacket, with hood concealed in the collar and mesh lining, size medium, colour blue.
5. A Peter Storm casual jacket, part fleece lined, size medium, colour black.
6. An official Aston Martin Racing cap and a copy of the Autosport magazine Le Mans 2007 review, both signed by Darren Turner, part of the driving team for the GT1 class winning DB9.
7. A wheel and tyre from the MGZS driven at Snetterton by Fiona Leggate when she had the big start line smash, signed by both Fionna and team boss Jason Hughes.
8. Another wheel from the same car, also signed.
9. A 7 peice fruit bowl set.
Other items may be secured for auction in the final run up to the event.
Anyone interested in any of these items who will not be at Wicksteed can have a bid placed 'on the book'. Contact me by PM with details of your maximum bid and how you'd intend to collect the item if/when you win the auction. If interest on the day in a particular item is low, we will only use enough of your maximum bid to win the item, so you may be able to bag a bargain.
More pictures will be added as they become available.
