I don't know it or the owner but it is a standard replica based on an MG BGT of the famous MG CGT Sebring works entry cars that utilised the wider wings and smoothed valences. The genuine Sebring cars would have run a straight six 3.0L as per the production cars, though.

Fitting a V8 is easy enough, the factory even made them in BGT format between 1974 and 1977, and again as the RV8 in the mid-90s.

This particular replica is using a mix of original MGC bonnet with modifications to allow for the EFI system underneath, by the look of it.

More examples can be found on this page (http://www.kewengineering.co.uk/upgrades4mgs/sebring_look_ideas.htm).

I do think the B really benefits from the wider arches, either in Sebring or 'RV8' form.

I've never really understood the differences between the B and C though. I know they have either a 1.8 or V8 in the B or an S6 in the C, and that the suspension was different to cope with the weight, and the bonnet buldge... but err was that really it?

Nice bit of history there Martin, i think it looks real mean with the wide kit and really suits the shape of the car :)

Any else go to trax? I was running the pit lane for the track sessions most of the day, some varied and interesting cars, shame the Scumball Rally people are such plebs.
