i currently drive a civic type r and am thinking of changing it to something crazy lke a noble. prob m12 with budget between 25k-30k- possibly more

i have a few quieries tho

what to look out for when buying? any reccuring problems that will cost me money in the future.

service intervals and where to get them done as i live in the west of scotland and there in no specialist garages near.

running costs ie- brakes, tyres stc, just the wear and tear parts.

and space inside- as i am 6ft3 and large build and may not fit in a car like this.

if any owners can answer my questions it would be much appriciated.

thanx al

Welcome to brit-cars.com! :drink2:

I would have hoped someone might be able to answer your queries, but maybe this thread has escaped their attention?

The M12 is certainly a respectable machine, there is a silver one that lvies near me, its amazing quite how big they are on the outside, but as you're no doubt aware, they're also very low, which might cause some head-room issues!

I believe the engine is a twin-turbo Ford Duratec V6 engine, in either 2.5 or 3.0 litre form, depending on which M12 you get?

With this in mind, I'd expect engine parts to be quite readilly available, although the charged nature of the engine probably means a few bits will need to come direct from Noble.

I believe there are a few other commonalities with the Ford parts bin, most notabley the rear lights, so I wouldnt expect too many difficulties there either.

Tyres and brakes will always depend on driving style, if its enthusiastic, with upto 300bhp at those wheels, you could probably go through some tyres pretty quickly.

Have you ever tried one?

re Parts. Don't forget that the wing mirrors are from the MGR parts bin and are common with the 25/45/75 and ZR/ZS/ZT :)

Dove House Motors in Rushden, Northamptonshire usually have a couple in stock and may be able to help with a test drive if they think you may buy a car from them. I look forward to hearing all about it if you go ahead.
